Media coverage played a pivotal role with ARD (German TV) and GEO Magazine due to write a report. A short film of the activites of the day was also produced. This filmlet was shown on 22 May at the International Biodiversity Day, on German TV as well as for the first time during COP9 to the plenum.
A broad spectrum of South African Media was present to cover the event and its significance.
